This is a textbook published through Oxford University Press. I developed this text for teaching “Introduction to Religion” after many years of teaching the course with other texts. I think the book is comprehensive and readable, but still small and inexpensive, especially compared to many college texts these days. Notably, even as I continue to use this text, I supplement with a (cheap) anthology of world scriptures. If you want to see more about the book, see the OUP website: https://global.oup.com/ushe/search?q=Richter&cc=&lang=en. Of course you can also see it at Amazon, etc. If you’re a professor who has used or considered the text, I’d appreciate comments.
